Proto 0.1.0 - LOD Update
0xDEC Proto » Devlog
Significant update to add LOD rings that load in past the view distance the player sets. These rings are much less computationally expensive, and should hopefully make the scale of the world more apparent in the future.
The current implementation is rather… “hacky”, so there will probably be a few future updates that change how they work under the hood.
If you experience chunks that do not load in, freezes, or see overlap (water will generate on top of still loaded in chunks and look wrong), please let me know!
