Proto 0.1.3
Another minor update. I added a flag in the settings menu to choose a renderer type. If you switch it to compatibility the game should run better on lower end hardware. This also makes the -c version built-in. Now you don’t have to go hunting for the right files!
One small caveat is that the game will launch twice in this mode, as it needs to inject some command line arguments into the launch of the executable. Forward+ is unaffected.
Compatibility looks worse, and may or may not be supported going forward (pun intended). I’d be forced to write two versions of every graphical effect I make and tweak them to look good on both renderers, which is even more work on top of this already insanely scoped game.
In other news:
- Made the flag that launches the terminal sequence less sensitive. It will only execute on 0.X major versions now.
- Fixed the info grabber clip board thingy to work in c mode.
- Thread count will now have a yellow and red zone to indicate if it’s being set too high.
No other changes (I think). Mostly in devlog mode at this point, though I did get shot 57 times with a fever and sore throat yay (:
